Tourism is increasingly a major leverage factor of preservation, enjoyment and appreciation of the cultural and artistic heritage of Portugal.Among the various heritage elements, the museums and monuments are essential vectors of tourist-cultural offer, contributing to the differentiation of destinations and the development of new opportunities for tourism business.The Cultural Tourism and Business Tourism are key aspects of tourism.In the case of cultural tourism, it is assumed as a strategic product that promotes the enjoyment of cultural heritage, but also generates significant economic outputs for different actors in the value chain of tourism.But the strategic product Business Tourism plays an important role in reducing the seasonality of destinations, can the realization of membership / corporate meetings in the context of a heritage resource be a differentiator and a favorable element of a memorable experience.These were the assumptions that were at the launch of Genesis in 2009, the 1st edition of the Technical Guide for Museums and Monuments, covering technical information about 24 museums and monuments.the updated version is presented in digital format, incorporating a larger number of spaces and keeping the purpose of optimizing Sightseeing programs and streamline the use of these heritage spaces by the commercial network of tourism distribution.It is intended that the Museum and Monuments Technical Guide is consolidated as a working tool intended to tourist agents, through the systematization of technical information of each of these cultural infrastructures, allowing a better understanding of the potential use of these spaces and thus intensify the volume of operations, diversify visited sites and enrich the tourist experience.Turismo de Portugal
